What I’m probably doing now…

After a sunny 80 degree afternoon in Seattle yesterday, we reported to a foggy 55 degree Sea-Tac airport this morning at 1 am. We were able to check our luggage and are waiting to board our international flight. While the other five people I am traveling with are morning people and annoyingly alert, I won’t remember much (if any) of it, because I do not function before 9 am on most days. That said, I can guarantee that I will be medicating any drama with snacks and any other bribery I can muster in my half-witted state, and I know we’ll stand in line several times, while the kids ask:
Why is the line so long?
Why’d we have to get up so early?
Is this the line where we are not supposed to talk about knives and bombs?
When we are leaving?
Are we are there yet?
Is the plane going to be ambushed? (actually asked on yesterday’s flight and will likely be repeated)
What is there to eat?
… repeat ad nauseum.
Our first international leg is about eleven hours long. (Yes, NOW would be a great time to say a little prayer)  We have two layovers and we’ll arrive Friday evening, Okinawa time. Let’s hope they sleep!

Hopefully, I won’t have too many stories from the flight to share next week.
