I am continuing to recuperate from our Virginia Exodus. Apparently my brain cells decided that road trips are over-rated, and they took a later flight. I’m sure they’ll arrive any day now. Thank you for your patience. Until we can resume our normally scheduled programming, a few things I have overheard lately:
Papa: I’m going to take the motorcycle around the block.
Cora Jo and Memphis (in unison): Can we go? Please? We’ll wear a helmet! Our mom won’t care!
Papa: No.
Silence.
Cora Jo: Can we just have ice cream cake then?
Me: Oh, look what my fortune says! Happy events will take place shortly in your home
Mem: That’s not gonna happen.
