God bless the children who run in church
So excited, they mistake it for a playground
God bless the children who laugh in church
May they always find such joy in the Lord
God bless the children who cry in church
May they find it a place of comfort
God bless the children who talk in church
May their questions be answered instead of shushed
God bless the children who kick my chair in church
They remind me to get out of it and reach beyond myself
God bless the children who run in church
For sadly, they will soon be adults
And too often I don’t see adults running around
Excited in Christ
Joyful in adversity
Comforting the needy
Asking Godly questions
Reaching out
No, I don’t see many adults running  in church
But I think I’d like to…
